Public Image Ltd.

Efter Sex Pistols började rasa samman tyckte jag att det inte var lika kul som det brukade med musik. När så John Lydon startade Public Image Ltd, eller PiL, så kom hoppet raskt tillbaka. De bildades 1978 och hann under 14 år släppa åtta album.

"I am not here for your amusement. You're here for mine"

John Lydon startade PiL tillsammans med bland annat Keith Levene (som spelat med tidiga Clash) och den spännande filuren Jah Wobble. Bandet splittrades 1992 och återförenades 2009.

För mig var PiL kanske det sista bandet innan GNR och kanske någon mer som skapat mysticism runt sitt band, gjort snygga omslag och agerat reblliskt på ett trovärdigt sätt. Det finns massor att berätta om PiL och jag tycker att du skall ägna en stund åt att läsa massor om PiL på den engelska Wikipedia, som är enormt bra uppdaterad.

Detta var den sång som gav hopp efter Rottens avhopp från Pistols, den skrevs under Pistolstiden.

Förra året var det bara Lydon från originaluppsättningen med. Det innebar att varken basisten Jah Wobble eller Keith Levine finns med på tåget. Däremot så är två medlemmar från de senare upplagorna av bandet, gitarristen Lu Edmonds och trummisen Bruce Smith med plus nya rekryten och multiinstrumentalisten Scott Firth.
